Northern Llyn

This spectacular, predominantly hilly, area on the Northern side of Pen Llŷn has some stunning scenery along its coast and beaches. Stretching inland the dramatic landscape and many delightful villages contain evidence of numerous historical eras such as the Iron Age hill fort of Tre’r Ceiri, religious shrines, and standing stones. The interesting Welsh Language and Heritage Centre of Nant Gwrtheyrn, sometimes known as the ‘hidden village’ is situated in a beautiful valley which opens out onto a spectacular beach.

Mae gan yr ardal arbennig hon, sy’n fryniog yn bennaf ac ar ochr ogleddol Pen Llŷn, olygfeydd godidog ar hyd ei harfordir a’i thraethau. Ymhellach yng nghanol y tir mae’r dirwedd ddramatig a’r pentrefi dymunol yn llawn tystiolaeth o oesoedd hanesyddol fel bryngaer Oes yr Haearn Tre’r Ceiri, creirfeydd a cherrig sefyll. Saif Canolfan Iaith a Threftadaeth ddiddorol Nant Gwrtheyrn, sy’n cael ei hadnabod weithiau fel ‘pentref cudd’, mewn dyffryn hardd sy’n arwain at draeth arbennig.
